Zero Lot Line - A zoning regulation that allows certain buildings to be built right up to the property line separating individual property parcels.

Zlot - a lot set at an angle instead of perpendicular to the street it faces. These type of lots are usually found in cul-de-sacs and are surrounded by similiar lot types.

Zoning - A set of rules governing the types of property that may be built on a parcel (residential, commercial, industrial, etc) as well as building codes.

Zoning Ordinance - an exercise of power by a municipality to regulate and govern the use of a piece of property.

Zoning Variance - A one time special modification of the existing zoning ordinance(s).
