Beacon Point

Beacon Point in Aurora Colorado is a newer community that has Toll Brothers, Engle, Standard Pacific and Lennar homes.  The community has a great deal of open space surrounding it and borders the Aurora Reservoir.  It is also very close to the Southlands Mall and has quick access via Smoky Hill road to E-470 and the Metro Denver area.

The schools are very good (Cherry Creek School District), and the community pool is very kid-friendly.  It even has a water slide in the pool.  Additional amenities for the community are Tennis courts, wading pool and exercise facility.  Finally the new high school looks like a mini college campus!

Wheatlands

The Wheatlands subdivision in Aurora Colorado is a new community that has Beazer, Cardel, Lennar and Richmond homes.  However, as of July, 2008 both Beazer homes and Cardell homes are no longer building in Wheatlands.  Beazer has left the Colorado marketplace entirely and Cardell is building in Tallyn's Reach, but has let their options for land expire in Wheatlands.

The community is next to the Southlands Shopping mall, which has a PF Chang's (one of my favorites for Chinese food), and is next to Beacon Point, Tallyn's Reach, and very close to the Aurora Reservoir.  We have helped clients purchase in Wheatlands and are familiar with the area.  The schools are very good, and the community pool is very kid-friendly.  It even has one of the those 'mushroom' waterfalls in the pool.  Finally the new high school looks like a mini college campus!

Additionally, the location is about 5 minutes on Smoky Hill road from E-470 allowing quick access to most of Metro Denver and DIA.
